Cookie Policy

This page explains how the Professional Camera Repairs website uses cookies and similar browser storage. By default we only use what is strictly necessary to run the site. Optional cookies require your consent.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small piece of text stored on your device by a website. Cookies let a site remember preferences or choices across page loads and visits. Some storage happens in localStorage rather than a cookie file; it works similarly and is covered by this policy too.

Storage we use

Essential (always active)

  • Theme preference (localStorage key theme): remembers whether you have chosen the light or dark colour scheme. Set the moment you toggle the theme; expires only when you clear your browser storage. No personal data is stored.
  • Consent record (localStorage key pcr_consent): records your cookie choices so the banner does not appear on every page. Set when you make a choice; expires when you clear browser storage.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile challenge token: set briefly by the Cloudflare Turnstile anti-spam service when you submit the enquiry form. Used only to verify you are a real person; not used for tracking. Cleared after the challenge completes.

Analytics (only set if you give consent)

  • Google Analytics 4: if you accept analytics cookies, GA4 cookies (_ga, _ga_*) are set to measure page views and general site usage. IP addresses are anonymised. This data helps us understand which pages are useful so we can improve the site. No advertising features are enabled.

If no Google Analytics ID has been configured for this site, analytics remain fully dormant regardless of your consent choice and no GA cookies are set.

What we do not use

We do not use advertising cookies, remarketing cookies, social media tracking pixels, or any third-party embeds that set cookies without your consent.

How to manage your choices

You can change your cookie preferences at any time by clicking "Cookie settings" in the footer of any page. You can also clear all stored preferences by clearing your browser's cookies and site data in your browser settings.
